Seward, Mural Capital of Alaska

KENAI FJORDS, WHERE MOUNTAINS, ICE AND OCEAN MEET

With more than 30 hand painted murals, Seward is known state wide as the ‘Mural Capital of Alaska.’
Many of the murals are painted through a collaboration with Seward Mural Society, started by Jennifer Headtke, which is an arm of the non-profit Seward Arts Council.

The Mural Society aims to create and paint a new mural each year, highlighting the history, beauty and spirit of Alaska.
